Any ideas whats wrong...?????!!!!

Any idea what this is on my turtle??? this is the third turtle that died on me the past few weeks from this. It's like the skin just turns a whiteish beige and then starts to peel off and then they die. It rubs off really easy and then it exposes raw tissue and starts to bleed. It must be some kind of fungal infection im guessing but it just started like 2 months ago. They have been fine all year. It seems to be happening to juvies that i have. The pic is of a terrapin that was the last to succumb of this but the others were different species. Any ideas? i was directed to melafix and pimafix but that just didn't seem to work in this instance. Let me know if anyone has a clue.....and yes the water is clean, i change it every 2 yo 3 days in the juvie tubs. thanks....

Sorry to hear of your loses. I have no idea why this is happening-do you have some clues you can share? Did these turtles get too much Vit A? Do they have any other symptoms like anorexia or bloating of the limbs? Did you get a new exotic turtle that is sharing their habitat 2 months ago?

This is a case for a vet who can do a necropsy of these turtles and cultures and thin sections of tissues. You may have a case of a virulent disease going through your collection. Tess
