I can't seem to see your pic anymore, but they looked pretty good. Do you have measurements and weight on the cornutum juv? I would like to compare to his sibling and see how they match up.
I have two three year old females that are siblings, and one is twice the size/weight of the other. The small one was a runt right from the start and has always been a very lazy eater. I don't think she would have survived in the wild at all.
She was in someone else's care for a couple of years and just came back to me last month. She's not looking very well due to a late hibernation and some neglect when she did come up.
Anyways, There aren't many CB cornutum around and I think it would be a good idea to make the most of the data if we can. I'm happy to share the info from my side as well.

I'll try to post the pic again.
I'll have to take measurements, but his last weight a few days ago was 28g. I've been weighing them at least twice a week since the illness. He is coming up, but slow. He was 25g a month ago, and about 22g the month before that.
The juv. solare has now surpassed my adult female cornutum. The adult cornutum weighs 50g, and the juv. solare is now at 52g. She's a chunk, and gaining weight fast since Pogos really came out. That's about 20g gain in the last 2 months.

I've always been of the opinion that it probably took a good 3 years for a cornutum to fully mature. That's pretty much the idea I had for this little guy going in. He may take an interest maybe later this year, but I'm not counting on it. I see no indication so far that he is so inclined. I will probably segregate him and the female cornutum soon just to make it easier on them. They are just too high strung for a community atmosphere, unlike the others.
The male platyrhinos are game though, and they have eyeballed the juv. solare pretty heavily when I allowed her to co-habitate with them to observe.

2Yr Old male: 66 mm at 14 grms
3Yr old Fem Runt: unmeasured length, 16grams
3Yr old Fem: 84mm at 35.6 grms
Thanks for posting the info.
I've noticed considerable variability in weight and overall growth in cornutum, even from 6 weeks of age. The weird thing is that sometimes the small hatchlings will surpass the larger ones at about 4 months. There is a lot of study to be done to understand cornutum growth and requirements.
Solare are fairly predictable. If given good care they will grow like pigs for the most part.
Breeding in their first year has been documented twice now. Cornutum seem to be quite different in this respect. Either that or we don't really know what we are doing yet with their diet and other requirements.
If anyone has further growth statistics on cornutum please post them.
