Which snake is less aggressive, betweeen a racer, coachwhip, and a garter snake?
I just thought about it and I should've been more specific in my question.
Which snake is a better candidate for a beginner? Based on:
1) Ease of handling
2) Is it a frequent biter
3) The type of care needed
Thanks!
Garter, no question. Easy to feed, tames easily, entertaining captives too.

I agree! Racers and coachwhips are in no way beginner snakes; garters are one of the handful of near-perfect beginner snakes.
garters corn kingsnakes & ball pythons are all good begainer snakes. note on ball pythons make sure its not a wc. also note on kingsnakes never keep them with other snakes also feed them in a different cage and if you have other snakes make sure you wash your hands between handeling I had a caliking that was crazy. lately I have found some mellow racers lately they can be mean at first really racers can unpredictedable.
