I've been thinking about using lubbers(type of grasshopper) as food for my chams. Alot of literature says not use them cause of they're toxicity. Can anyone tell me if the toxicity is diet related or if it's inherent in their tissue?

I don't know for certain, but would suspect it is not diet related. Many grasshoppers have a defense mechanism...they can release a noxious liquid that can sting and probably tastes bad. Even it it was safe for the cham they may probably only try one once.
