I am considering buying an acrylic tank to house some lizards. I was wondering if anyone knows how the acrylic holds up to high temperatures that some bulbs can give off. The tank I am looking at has two 18" long and probably 6" wide opens. I was just wondering if the heat from the bulbs, if it would damage the acrylic tank. Thanks for any help.

I went to look at some used vision cages at a local store once and they were melted in spots...this was due to some idiotic placement of bulbs,probably in domes placed over openings too small for the bulb and in direct contact with the cage, though.
