Leapard frog tad pole????

schwartzenstobe Jun 13, 2008 04:20 PM

Hello, I have a few tadpoles and I was wondering If I could put them in my pond with goldfish it is filtered with a waterfall. It is 10x11 with live plants and 3 ft deep. Can leopard frogs live in New Jersey through the winter thanks Matt

Leopard frogs can live through the winter in NJ, but if you don't have an escape-proof fence around the pond, don't put them in there; they could escape into surrounding populations and potentially carry diseases with them. Also, smaller tadpoles are very likely to be eaten by the goldfish.
