question about feeding.

mmfh Jun 18, 2008 06:12 AM

I'm not sure how much i should feed my baby snapper. It's a little thing, only 2 inches. I've been feeding it 1/2 a frozen cube of either emerald entree or glassworms. Then at night i give it 2 sticks of either reptomin or shrimp pellets. Is this enuf food for a growing snapper? I should add that nothing is left of any of what i feed it. But i'm a little worried that i'm not giving it enuf. Thank you.

You could feed him every other day in another container. That way the home container stays cleaner. I would give him at least 2 cut up rosy red minnows and alternate that with reptomin or the shrimp pellets. A 2 inch snapper can get down several small minnows at each feeding.
