my name is melissa im 15 and this is my first rosy boa his name is sid ive had him for a few month. my mom had to go to the hospital (i wont go into details) but i had to stay at my friends house for a few days when i came hme i checked on sid and he has scabs on the top of his head kinda between his eyes and another on the side of his head. since i wasnt here i dont know if he hurt himself or not is there any diseases i should be aware of?

Melissa, a couple of guesses would be that he was fed a live mouse that bit him(never leave a live mouse unattended in his enclosure), or he suffered a rubbing injury on a screen top, or possibly a burn from whatever heat source he has. Post some pictures if you can.

i found the problem and his scabs went away! yay...
aperently sid (my boa) was shediing but i didnt relize it becuase his eyes never went milky and he was still eating but ya he shedded today and now his scabs are gone!
