its mostly likely possible as other rat snakes have been crossed with bulls but i've never actually heard of this cross being done.

I personally saw a clutch of babies that came from a Fox X Corn. I remember we joked about calling them foxy corns.
But having owned Fox Snakes in the past myself, they always reminded me of a Bull X Ratsnake in regards to their look and build. Just my .02

do you think you can scrounge up some pictures, pleeease!

Yasser Jun 27, 2008 10:11 AM

I never got pics of the Kunasir Hybrid but I know a handful of folks who can confirm they've seen them. The Radiata cross was put down as it was an accident done by a friend who is devoutly against hybridization. Sorry! I wish I had pics of them myself!

I think you ment that for my post but ya its a shame he put down that hybrid, just because it was different and he didn't like it it didnt mean he had to takes it's life. Although considering it was accident it must not be that had of a hybrid to make and doesn't need any trickery?

This was back in the early 90s and sentiments toward hybrid were even worse. And he himself was against it. I never got to see it...he just told me the story. But like I said, he has been a longtime friend and I trust his word. As far as why he killed it, I'd have to agree with you. But I also understand not everyne enjoys hybrids and some have very strong feelings about it.

bull snakes have been crossed to many other specs. of snakes, but I have never seen a picture or heard of anyone crossing a fox snake to any other specs. besides a corn snake but I think that was a myth because the picture looked like a beautifull eastern fox snake. untill someone produces some fox snake hybrids it is going to stay that, a myth. fox snakes are very different than almost all other north american snakes and alot more needs to be learned about their genetics!
