Feed as many prey items that they will take every 3 days, Feed them seporatly. Do a Google search for Western Fence Lizard Care or Sceloprus occidentalis. Good luck and keep us informed.

I feed my juvie blue spinys as much as they will eat three times a day. Why are you concerned about over feeding? Aren't they babies? Wil other lizard species, babies should be fed like I feed, all of the appropriately sized crix they can eat two to three times a day. Are these guys different?

no, these guys arent different, however google returns several different answers and i like getting information from here...

i am a snake person, these guys are the first lizards i have kept as an adult (as a kid i had a few pet lizards) - that is why my questions may seem like common sense to most of you.

I feed my blue spinys 2 week crix two or three times a day, about 10-15 crix per feeding for three lizards, and they eat every feeding. But then if there are live crix left over, you should remove those before lights out as they will turn the tables and eat on the lizards.

BTW, it is my understanding that you can hardly overfeed baby growing lizards. The reason that you spread it out over three feedings is that the crix need to be fed, or gut loaded prior to feeding so that the lizards benefit from the crix diet, and the lizards can be bitten in between feedings if you put too many in at once.

I have raised two gorgoeus beardies from hatchlings, and my blue spinys are huge!

I usually fed mine everyday even adults when I had mine that I had caught. It is my understanding that lizards will not over eat and will only when they are hungry. When they are not hungry they won't eat. These guys have very active metabolism.
