I know people like to give their igs pillows, but why do we do that exactly and at what age? I'm not talking about love dolls, but beds. Mine is only about 6-8 months old and currently sleeps under the newspaper (a new habit of about a week).

They give them pillows because it makes the keeper feel good. The lizard could care less whether it has one or not.....TC

my igs got two and he lovess them

This post caught my eye, because my iguana sleeps with 3 pillows (reptile print no less) and a stuffed iguana toy, all while being wrapped up in a blanket. Must be the mother in me I'll have to get a photo up here of her. I figure she's 13 years old and deserves to be spoiled like that, and she doesn't seem to mind.

Tom -- that is so not true. <G> Remember iggies do indeed use pillows in the wild -- that's what subordinate iguanas are for! Think of the way greens just pile on top of each other with the most dominant iggy on top of the nice soft pillow of his minions! LOL

My lizard lives in a tree during the daytime but when he comes in the house....Forest likes pillows!

He actually has a stuffed toy that he uses to plop his head on.

EVERYBODY takes more when they can get it! Lizards too!

He's so cute! Mine has discovered that he likes hiding under his newspaper. I'm not sure where a bed would fit that scenario.
