Soaking with head under water

I have a Papuan Ground Boa who is soaking with it's head underwater...first time i saw it i thought he was dead...but he moved...Is it normal for them to stay completely submerged for long periods of time?

TOTALLY NORMAL....SOME STAY IN THEIR WATER BOWLS 24/7....JUST MAKE SURE THE SUBSTRATE IS ALWAYS DRY....JC
