I know somebody knows the answer- Whats the largest locality or type of red foot? Anyone gonna have red foots at Hamburg, PA aug. 2?

The largest redfoot found to date is from the Filidelfia area in Paraguay. It is a large male that is 59.3 cm.
However, numerous other very large specimens have also been found in Paraguay and neighboring Bolivia.
When Pet Farm of Miami, Florida imported over 500 adult redfoots from Bolivia in the early 1980s my wife and I spent many hours going through that group. I saw quite a few that were well over 17 inches. Also, the breeders that I know personally who keep Bolivians all have adults over 14 inches and some that are much larger.

The largest I've seen all were from Bolivia. I remember the Pet Farm shipment still today. In the middle 1990's I still had a few and they were still breeding. Neonate Bolivians and their eggs are quite a bit larger than other locales. A few of my friends still have some and are breeding them and just looking I'm guessing some are around 20".......TC

A friend of mine who use to have a pet store in Pinellas Park, FL use to import and export, and he had a pair of Redfoots from Panama that were close to 20 inches. They were imported back in '99, and they were bigger than my sulcata, who weighs 63 pounds.

I believe Paraguay and Bolivia produce the largest specimens . This big boy is a good example . Exact locale is a tough call since animals occasionally shift dealers hands depending on who can get an export quota.

thats awesome. hopeing to get my first redfoot at an upcoming show. probably be slim pickins but we'll see.
