Red Footed Personality!

WTorres Jul 13, 2008 07:43 PM

OMG, have you guys noticed anything similar? I have owned my pet red footed for about 4 years now. That little thing can't even let me walk into the room without tapping on the glass so I get her out! I put her in her pen in the yard and she still follows me!

I even have to get her out to let her walk around the living room when I am in it. Are yours "needy" too? Or should I say, really craving affection and socialization with humans?

My goodness, I never expected this much demand for attention, that is for sure! Not like I mind it, but it is just that she is so much like a puppy in a shell! It did not seem to me she needed so much attention in the previous three years. This season she is like:"How dare you, come pick me up!"

My smallest juvenile is like that too! I walk in the room and immediately he demands attention, and I can tell its attention because he cares less about food until I pay attention to him, even strawberries. Of course he likes me even more when I put food in there. If you really want to see personality, get sulcatas. My big one weighs about 63 pounds and he's really like a big dog. He demands attention as soon as I go into the backyard.

Holy schist, who needs a sulcata, Suki does not let me live my life!
Aren't they something? Goodness, they're puppies in shells!

I just got my red foot about two weeks ago and all of the articles I have read on here so far say that redfoots are pretty sociable with their humans. My redfoot however is really withdrawn and doesnt seem to care much for human contact. It is still fairly small probly about 1lbs. and and just a few inches big. is it normal for it to be so shy and withdrawn?
