I'm lookng to turn a recently purchased turtle tank into a terrarium for frogs, either Mossy tree frogs or Darts. This is what I have planned so far.
I want to use gravel as the base, I really want to avoid the use of PVC or other "unnatural" looking drainage bases.
I plan on using live moss and plants, some of which I have decided on.
I will probably build my own background.
The issue I'm having is finding a good "how to guide". I have found places that recommend the use of charcoal, then others make no mention of it. Like anything else there is alot of conflicting information out there. Any experienced keepers out there have, or know of, a good site or book that I can turn to for the "finer" points of building my terrarium?
Thanks,
Jeremiah "Podunk"

http://amphibiancare.com has lots of info on how to build vivs. if you've never kept amphibs before i would suggest mossies, not darts. i have them and they are wonderful. http://saurian.net has them a lot of the time (cb ones). good luck and feel free to contact me with any questions you have. http://freewebs.com/kapoktree
