I keep their water clean and feed them this stuff called tadpole and frog sinking pellets, and I have a place for them to sit, why did they die?
like any death, there could be a million reasons why it happened. what was the pH, temps, did you use tap water, RO, distilled...we need more info. and what kind of frogs were they?

Metamorphosis is a very stressful event. Sometimes even healthy tadpoles don't survive the event.
They were Northern leopard frogs, I am using tap water, but I have been using tap water since I got them from the river as tadpoles a month ago.
well, it still could have been something different but a lot of times tap water doesn't have a pH of 7. so you have to check with your local water service to find out if there are excess amounts of florine, or hard metals. i know places where the tap water is 5.5 all the way up to 8. so the prolonged exposure just weeded out the weaker tads.
sometimes tads just dont make it, either they weren't strong enough or something happened when they were still developing that screwed them up. there's really no way to tell.
