I have owned a dumerils boa for about 3 years now. When I got him I used to have the time to devote to him. The past few months I just haven't found any time to take him out for very long and as a result, he has become very agressive to the point that I am thinking of just selling him. Trust me I feel very bad about this and I'm in a tuff situatin. Now I am able to give him more time out of the cage, but I am afraid he will strike me as he is quite agressive and will try. Any advise in this situation would help. thank you very much.

If you have the time he will become more tractable, sometimes you just get bit. You will live if it happens. It will take some time and he will calm down. Quite unusual, I NEVER handle my dumeril's and the stay tractable. There may be something else unsetting him like improper temps or hunger or other environmental factors.

So you must be feeding him in his cage that might explain why he strikes at everything that comes in. My 2 Dums. in the past would do the same thing until I started feeding them outside now no problems. Hope this helps

I think thats probably it. I'll try feeding him in another container for awhile and see how that goes. Thanks for the help!
