Rescue Turtle assistance

netherper Jul 27, 2008 02:12 PM

This turtle was a give up from a local owner. The owner purchased it several years ago from a commercial dealer. The feet are moderately webbed and, if given the choice, the turtle will eat in the water as opposed to on land as with a box turtle.

Any ideas?

Thanks

That's definitely a batagurid. Looks like the Malaysian box turtle (Cuora amboinensis) to me, but I don't know my Asian turtles very well.

Mauremys mutica.

Thanks!!

I knew it wasn't a Cuora although it appeared to have similar habits and behavior.

Thanks again!!
