My baby kingsnake musks and rattles

Hello ive got 2 kingsnakes one banded and one cali my californian king is fine he doesnt get so jumpey if i touch him on the other hand my fremale seems to shoot around the viv if i touch her and she likes to rattle her tail and musk i do everything the same as i would with my baby royal show hand in front of there face and then pick them up from the middle but she just shoots of and burrows and it takes ages just to find her in the viv am unsure if its the size of the viv or what am just unsure what to do really just hopeing someone can help me out on here thanks.

What she does.

Rattles tail
Musks
shoots off all the time.

She has never biten me but thats maybe soon.

If she is otherwise healthy, and eating well, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have a young cali king that is the same way. She will settle down somewhat after being held for a minute or two, but never completely, and she always musks me. Some young snakes are just that way.

Try not to chase her around the cage, though. Best to pick her up quickly right from the start.

Yeah, there's not a whole lot you can do with jumpy juveniles. And there's nothing wrong with it, its just normal. I also chose to grab them quickly instead of chasing them all over the cage. The tail shaking is purely a defensive reaction.
