Unknown lizard in Kenya

moosten82 Aug 01, 2008 03:42 PM

When I visited Kenya I saw this lizard on the wall of the ruins of a 16th century mosk, located on Manda Island in the Lamu archipelago. It is full of brown and black spots, which gave it a very nice protective coloring on the wall. The lizard was approximately 25 cm in length.
A photo of the animal can be found here:

Thank you in advance for identifying him for me!

Best regards,
Marlies from The Netherlands

I put your photo here to make it easier for people without a google account (if they exist!)
