A friend has a problem with his female asper. She was pregnant but now she is slim and no babys.

was she bought pregnant? or did he breed them? if it was bought pregnant, it probally wasnt, and its just being starved now..
This famale (and the others ones)goes severals years in captivity.
Last year happened the same thing and this year an ultrasound scan confirmed the pregnancy(embarrassment).
how long has the snake been pregnant? at the least, how long ago was the ultrasound?
I don't know exactly, but I'll ask to my friend.
He think that the female has eaten up the babies or she has reabsorbed the babies inside. Do you know some case?
