new water snakes

I'm in the process of obtaining a pair of broad banded water snakes. For some reason I've always been drawn to them but,I've never seen one in person. The appeal I think,is they look alot like like a copperhead or a water moccasin without the danger! When I get these guys I'll post pics! Jeff

yes, broadbands are some beautiful snakes. I got my hypo to finally take rodents and now he's an eating machine.

they tame down with frequent handling, but if you don't continue to handle them you'll be in for a surprise when you hold them again.

are you getting adults or babies?

Hey, I have a broadbanded! I caught him in our local park here in Louisiana. he's pretty young, and i feed him minnows out of the ditch. Once, i didn't play with him for some time, and he coiled up and popped me when i picked him up! you have to handle them every now and then.
