Hi,

I was reading some of the nasty responses in the kingsnake forum about hybrids. I really don't understand the hostility. Some of the prettiest snakes are hybrids and yours are no exception. Very beautiful indeed!

That's ok, I was sort of expecting not only encouraging reactions.. In fact I'm positively surprised that most of people in KS forum are ok with Pastels/hybrids and even talking nice about them. Only a few people were nasty/hostile. Many are ok, as FR said, at the end there is only a few of guys who like snake, so we should sort of cooperate

Thank you. I really like them. Some time pyros were my favourites, but now it's Pastels

Very nice!! Don't mind the bias retardation over in the kingsnake forum. Most of those guys suffer from major insecurities hence why they feel the need to bash others.

Thanks As I said above, it's ok, I think that guys from KS forum are mostly quite nice. No need to judge them(in fact incl. us) by a few people who like to be nasty or need to get more selfconfidence by hostility to others...

Nice snakes you have.. I have visited your site some month ago..

It is very unfortunate. Some kind of phobia or psychosis. Fr's comments about division are so true that they were painful to read.
The mods told me yesterday to report that behavior instantly and they will nuke it.

A buddy of mine, Chris Jones from King Of Kings Reptiles took an albino and bred it to a het to produce a clutch of hets. I seem to remember one of the parents was a Jeff Cerula animal. I feel silly now that I've forgotten the details. He gave me this male to raise, and he's held back a female (earthy buckskin) and we'll be pairing them up next year.
Ok, here's the info direct off Chris' website

http://www.kingofkingsreptiles.com/Collection/collection.htm

"These animals originated from an amelanistic cross obtained from Jeff Cerula. The snake had already been crossed back into thayeri multiple times, and we continued his tradition by crossing these animals into our line of thayeri. We are now producing animals that are better than 75% thayeri."

I swear I have a more recent photo of the male. He's FINALLY just taken his first full grown mouse after a really slow start. He was taking 5 fuzzies and still had no interest in small mice.

Ha! Found the pic. Still not real recent, but better than the baby pic.

Hi Tom,

yeps, Jeff's Pastels has connection with Steve's ones. Jeff is producing incredible pastels.

Wish you a lot of luck next year and do no forget to post photos of your and Chris's hatchlings

Pastels will be mostly cream ones I suppose.. it's not my favourite color, but this year one of our cream made it to be our #2 within 11 pastels (8 orange ones).
