Bert passed away today at 14:45 central time. He will be cremated tomorrow, Tuesday. There will be a memorial later in the year, but no date has been set yet. It will probably be many weeks or several months from now.

A SAD day indeed , Bert has done so much, and shared so much of his knowledge with us all, I know I was a huge fan.
I'm so very sorry that we have lost such a good friend and person, I pray that his family will be comforted in this time of grief, and may they soon be at peace.
**I hope Bert is put in charge of all the reptiles we have ever loved and lost, and know they will indeed be well taken care of !

I am very sad to hear such news. Though I never met this pioneer, I did admire his work!
I wish his family and freinds the best! I am sure there is a God. I am also sure that Bert has already assumed his new roll as head herpman in heaven!!!!!
