Sad News for the Herp World

kaisar sose Aug 12, 2008 05:59 PM

Forgive me Eve if this too off topic for our forum but I just learned that Bert Langerwerf from Agama International has passed away. Bert did not offer Chucks but he was a fine breeder of Australian water dragons, Argentine Tegus and other rare herps. In my dealings with him he always seemed to be a good guy and produced fine animals. Again, off topic but it's a small herp community that we live in and it's sad to see one of us pass away.

I was curious about Aussie Water Dragons, and had a nice email conversation with him about them several months ago. What a shame! He really did seem very knowledgeable and very nice.

No problem John, I think it is very much ON TOPIC my friend, I'm glad you posted. After all Bert was what it is all about ( what we do here) Herps were his passion/life besides his family of course.

** He was a fine man, contributed so much to the herp world, shared so much with us all. Bred some fine looking critters for sure, and will be terribly missed.

Peace be with his family at this time.
