BTS Bedding Questions

erica21 Aug 13, 2008 10:22 PM

I know aspen is what most people would say it is a good bedding, but where I live they do not sell it. I have found this new bedding by Zilla that is Douglass Fir and Euctalyptus shavings. It says it is good for skinks but I was just wondering if anyone has used it and if it is okay for them to be in. I am trying to find a alterative to carefresh because it has caused a problem with my BTS. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I prefer coconut bedding. Holds moisture well, low risk of impaction, easy to spot clean, does not grow "stuff". You can sometimes order this online for very reasonable cost, especially if you find free shipping.

I actually use rabbit food. If they eat it they can pass it, when they go to the bathroom it sort of crumbles and clumps up on it so its easy to spot. And its cheap. As far as the bedding you are asking about as long as its not too aromatic you should be fine.
