Australian Water Dragon advice needed

ninj726 Aug 18, 2008 02:33 PM

I have a M/F pair of aus h2o dragons housed in a 60 gal tank. They are about two years old, and I am hoping to breed them when the time comes. my question is this. Should I go ahead and brumate them this upcoming winter, and get them geared up to breed next spring, or should I wait an additional year? Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.

a 60 gallon isn't enough room for one dragon, but for two...not the best idea. i have one dragon in a 75 gallon, and he was abused so he's only 19 inches. fullgrown dragons like yours need a way bigger cage.

Why have you waited so long to brumate them ? If they are adult why wait another year ? I brumate mine at 3 months old !
