recently ive noticed my iguanas mouth and nose looked a bit sore. her nose looks a very dry in places and the tiny spikes on top seem to be falling off and growing back =/
im not sure whats going on.
shes about a year old and very healthy otherwise. 2 weeks ago i took her to the vet for a health check and he said she's one of the healthiest igs he's seen. i dont know whether this is something i need to worry about?

Is your iguana in a glass aquarium? This sounds much like nose rub issues. Neosporin on the wounds should help.

the nose sounds like nose rub which could be from your ig being in a enclosure thats too small. what kind of cage and how big of a cage is your ig in? also the spikes falling off could be from the humidity being too low or poor nutrition. whats the humidity in the cage?

my older igg had the spike problem when i first got him some of his spikes grew back and some didn't.
