I found this turtle in one of our fish ponds this morning and I was wondering what kind it is? We are located in Southeast New Mexico. We have found several over the last couple of weeks and we would like to know what it is. Thank you.

It's a mud turtle.
Probably a yellow mud (_Kinosternon flavescens_).
