oustalets chameleon

Does anyone out there have a oustalet cham?these are the giants that know seems to talk about I am thinking about getting one, any advice I do have experience with chameleons so I am not a newbe

You might try contacting the ADCHAM forum members to see if anyone has them. Also, check the Chameleonnews ezine for articles on Oustalet's and try contacting the author. I think there's been at least one article on them in the past, or you could contact the editors too.

I am inquiring to see if anyone on this forum who has experience with keeping these giant chameleons.

Hi,

oustalets are among the easiest chams to keep-the only drawback is the space they need.
A caveat is feeding. They are voracious feeders and it is easy to overfeed tham. I do feed my adults twice a week and not more than the equivalen of three Schistocerca Imagines per feeding. Anyhow, better to feed more and smaller insects than such big things.

Inside 100 x 60 x 175 cm for a single cham. Outside 100 x 100 x 200 for a pair. One male is a free roamer in my herp room.
