baby shedsalot update

mmfh Sep 01, 2008 08:53 PM

The last time my baby shed was on aug 26th. it is now the 1st and it is shedding again. I bought biomist and i am using this to spray him down once a day. I took him to the vet and the vet said he seemed in fine health. Does any one out there have any idea why he is shedding so often? I know someone said they do this before they die. If this is the case what other symptoms should i look for and will it stop eating? Once again, thank you.

if a baby is eating well and shedding often..that indicates it is growing and thriving.

The only other times lizards shed is if they have something damaging their skin so they may shed often to heal. If your baby gecko is eating, active and alert at night, then he's just growing up. Shedding once a week is a bit fast but not life threatening.

thank you for responding. I was becoming very worried. if this is just a little outside situations that are normal then i will relax. Because he is indeed active and eats and is just about the same weight as his hatch mate.
