Means you NEED A VET!!!

Thats an upper respiratory infection and your temps are too low and could possibly be stressed out

Take it to the vet...

Check your temps and cage set up

Beth nailed it. Get him to the vet asap. Good luck. I hope he's ok.

Snake Cages

and cage setup that you are maintaining this anaconda within. Greens are very hardy and definitely not inbred at this point. Therefore it is rare to see one with an RI like this unless something is seriously lacking in the setup. Have you had this snake for long, or is it a recent acquisition? What are the cage temps, pool temps (if using), and humidity sources and levels if known? These can all contribute to the problem if they are out of acceptable ranges for this species.

my temps and humidity are all set. im guessing that the water temp might be the problem. i brought him to the vet and he gave me some anitbiotics that will last about two weeks. he told me to keep the warm side of the cage btw 95 and 100 for now until he gets better. im assuming that i should get some type of heater for beneath the water to keep the temps up

Pool temps are a major issue with greens and usually are the source of most of the problems. The water is best kept around 80 F and changed very frequently. See my posts on Sept. 2nd and 7th. Also, sounds like you are, but make sure it has a way to get well away from your warm side of the cage if it wants too. I am also curious as to the antibiotic that was prescribed. Thanks and let us know how things progress.

Your snake has a respitory problem. This means that your snakes habitat is too cold and has to much humidity. You need to warm up your cage about 5-10degrees depending on what you have it at right now and decrease the humidity about 15percent. Don't feed him until his respitory problem is gone. It just take about 2weeks in all.
