My sweet boxies are all huddled in a corner of their enclosure becuase it has become infested with FIRE ANTS!! The exterminator sprays a permethroid around the crawl space except near the turtle pen ... Is there anything that I can do about this that will not be a danger to my eastern box turtles?

I am very worried about keeping my darling boxies safe. Thank you so much for your repsonses!!

I use bait traps. I purchase Tarro brand(available in my town at Ace hardware store) it is a small clear flat trap with insecticide in it. I have a rail around enclosure at top edge and thats where i put it because my boxies cant climb up ther since i have a lower rail below. You can place it around outside and it will still draw the ants to it. Works great indoors so i tried around turtle pen and now keep it out always, just replacing if empty.
