If you reside in Illinois, you cannot keep any venomous reptiles.

You can if they are not listed as medically significant. As a result Boiga are fair game.

I'm not sure. I do not know where you found that info. I was born and raised in Chicago and moved about 4 years ago. Last I saw you could not keep ANY Poisonous reptiles. (however you do see the loophole there). No such thing as poisonous. I hope you're right and Boiga are a great species. I used to sit up at night and watch mine for hours. (yes, I had them when I lived in IL). Where I reside now I can pick up copperheads all day long. Still haven't found the rattlesnake species we are supposed to have though. Bill at www.snakemuseum.com has CBB Boiga.

Sorry I have not seen your post for the last 4 months..lol. I haven't been frequenting the forums much and have been focusing on getting my boas and balls up and ready for breeding. Anyway, if you need and or still want to get in contact with me you can email me at reticone@hotmail.com or todd.becker@us.army.mil. Once again, sorry for the delay. Todd
