DVL HERE!!! Doing OK----

dvl Sep 17, 2008 02:59 PM

What a mess Ike left behind! Me & my whole family came out very fortunate ! My house escaped with little damage. Lots of damage to trees & Lizard Pen Roof but I was surprised to see quite a bit of that corrucated plastic in tact ! Even saw a new hatchling Desert Iguana the next day after the storm !! He was hard to see amoung all the pecan & maple limbs & leaves. I hope to see some redtails soon--crossing fingers on that one!

Our thanks to you guys for thinking about us here---now just send gasoline, electricity, ice & water!! LOL--and beer!

Regards

David

Glad you made it out OK, Dave. I was going to give you a call, but decided you hand your hands full. Glad to hear the pen survived too...that is great! I know if the the house was gone and the pen was still there, you'd rebuild for sure! :O)

Good luck getting through the rest of the mess.

I evacuated all my critters and Mom, and was super lucky! My townhouse is fine, but some of the units just a few doors down lost roofs and walls. We got our power back on wednesday. There is still a bread, dairy, meat, and fresh produce shortage here.
