So, i'm thinking of finally breeding my girls.

Can anyone give me a rough estimate on the season? I figure I need to put them together like, NOW.

I hope you watch that the females get a couple month's rest! :O

Ok, so we had the first day of Fall yesterday. The next yearly milestone is Halloween, then Thanksgiving then Christmas then New years then......what's there to do? Everyone has the holiday blahs, everyone is broke or in debt. There is no field herping to be don in North America.

Why not bring in the New Year in breeding your cresteds in January? Before you know it you have eggs and you are anticipating the hatch days.

I seperate the boys from the ladies in September. Cool them and feed graciously to ensure the ladies are nice and plump by the New Year with good calcium deposits. Introduce them early January and before I know it, I have eggs late February through August.

Or you can be like Mike1234 and celebrate Christmas year round and breed them year round. Just be sure to give the ladies a break and concentrate on getting their weight and calcium levels up.

I dig that idea. My cresties are already separated. I'm not breeding long term, I don't think, I just want to see if I can successfully hatch some babies.

Thanks for the tips.
