My Painted's Plastron

paulgauguin Sep 24, 2008 09:51 AM

I'm a bit worried about my little painted.. he's about 4 months old now and I've noticed that his plastron has gone from mostly yellow to now having some redness appearing over a good portion of it. The picture shows it in better detail. Is this something that I should be worried about? I feed him everyday and he has a basking spot along with the proper amount of UV light everyday.

I'm pretty sure it's normal.I have 3EPTs and they're all plain yellow, but a buddy has 1 with a lot of red.All happy and healthy. I've seen quite a few around here (Ma.) in the wild that are all red. I say no worries
