Just got Power back on!!

dvl Sep 28, 2008 09:25 PM

The lights are on -- finally! I went BUST again on chuck eggs . Many were black mummies, one was dead maybe a week or so. I guess I will have to use an incubator like normal folks now! I did have at least 3 baby D I's pop[ out--- most likely the day of the storm. I saw one while picking up the largest tree branches in the pen--the lizard was caked in dirt. I did not see any before the storm hot but they could be easily overlooked. Anyway--they all get the name of IKE until they turn out to bew females-- then we'll call her IKE'ETTE!

PS--- Many Thanks to the folks from PIKE Electric---corporate office in MT Airey N C-- home Scott John here on the forum-- but the crews were from all over! We have had jillions of work crews from all across this fine nation!

How adorable! I hope to have DI babies next year. Are they in the same pen with the chucks?

Wow, I am sorry you had to wait so long. I am lucky that I am next to a hospital. My power came back on after 5 days. We lost a tree as well, but sustained no damage to the townhouse, thank goodness!

Lets hope we don't have to go through this again, at least not for a few years!

Glad things are getting back to normal, I know some of those Pike, people they work hard after these storms. BTW we just had our big Andy Griffith weekend here in Mt Airy with a lot of the old cast members coming into town
