Aussie water dragon feeding

hey guys,

so i read that you can feed your AWD's pinkie mice, what size would you recomend and alive or frozen? and will ther eat rabbit or quail???

They absolutly love mice, but they get sick of them if you feed it too often. I feed my aussi a hopper 1-2x a week and crix once a week and thats all. I have had him for 2 years and he is over a pound now. The mice are a lot more nutritional and keep the weight on without breaking your budget. It depends on the size of the dragon though, mine is full grown and I wouldn't do anything larger than a hopper. Rabbits are way too big and I'm not familiar with quail sizing, but if they are a lot bigger than a adult mouse then they will not work.

a t-rex mercury vapor bulb. they are like 50 bucks and provide heat and uvb. well worth the money...
