Pothos works very well as well as any philodendron. They are super hardy and can be trained to vine up things and even grown hydro. They can live and even thrive in fairly low light conditions. They can be gotten almost anywhere, Home Depot, Wal Mart etc..

Plus, live plants help to keep up the humidity.

thanks alot, im not much of a botonist so i wanted to make sure i didnt get something that was gonna die from not having enough sunlight. will i need to use a planting pot? or will they grow in my terrarium substrate?

It would be best to keep the plants in pots, unless you have to right mixture for the plants set up in your terarrium and it is very deep. It will just be easyer and better off for the plant to keep them in the pots. Also another good plant would be a snake plant sometimes called mother inlaws tounge. Very hardy and sturdy plant. And maybe an unbrella plant.

you could go with some large bromeliads...nothing small and weak tho

Either way will work, but a pot would be easier for maintenance. You could take it completely out for cleaning.
