the snake will likely be fine, what happened is you exausted all the lil guys energy and it just needs to rest and catch it breath, and a fuzzi legis like you or me eating a one single chickenwing, thats no meal andit couldbe starving too, try feeding it lizards with a skull thats the same size as the snakes skull size. and if you are super gentle anddon't just shove it down his throat, after a few times they will usally eat on their own. I drop a few drops of water into the mouth just after the head of the lizard is down into the throat and then poke the lizard down into the snake by the left side and them the rightside in two or three second intervels just like how they eat (leftjaw then rightjaw) follow me?... this gives him time to inhale, keep in mind that in nature they breath in slow "restricted" breaths while they are swallowing but when you are stuffing something down there it has no chance to inhale...JB

Also, try lubrication the food item with a little egg, as it makes it slide down alot more easily. I'd also advise using tails to avoid the claws, and issues trying to push a leg down with the joints bending, etc. I think you'll find they go down quite a bit easier.
