Why do you want to hibernate them. I have never done this with my Painted's in 25 years. I keep mine outside all summer in a pond and then take them in for the winter. I know lots of people who leave them outside to hibernate but none who hibernate inside. I know some people hibernate boxie's inside in a special refrigerator.
