Post-hatch Question

orinoco Oct 28, 2008 07:10 PM

Hello,

I hatched my first crestie egg on Saturday. I was just wondering how long-on average-it takes for the first shed and the baby to begin eating on his own?

Thanks, in advance...

O.

I notice the first shed usually within the first week, normaly a couple of days. It is good to begin to offer it food right away, you may not notice the gecko eating anything at first however. Dont worry about that too much, they are too small at first to make a huge dent in the food offered to them. I recommend using crested gecko diet for this by the way, just healthier overall than things like baby food, even if it is supplimented.
