Breeding season?

riiotgrrl Nov 02, 2008 09:02 AM

Is there a good time to start in with breeding? I keep my male and female seperated all the time...my male is 3 years old, female is 2. She had her first season last year, ending in probably late july...all the eggs were infertile, as i figured they would be for her first year.
This year both are fat and goregeous! My male has been leaving 'presents' all over the glass, so i figure he is ready.
Is there a better time than another to start? I would rather only keep them together for a week or so too, as i fear they will drop their tails...
suggestions would be appreciated! Much thanks! jen

crested geckos will breed all year. i keep mine together the majority of the time. i do seperate them for two weeks every other month though, in order for them to gain weight and not be as stressed. ive had eggs almost every month, and every season.
