I have two concentric DBT's and 1 map babies and I have them in a 55 with half under a repti sun 10 and the other half with a large float dock and basking bulb that sits at 90 while water sits at 78, do I need to have a basking spot heat source at night, or is the 78 degree water enough?

No need to worry about lighting at night.(Think of them in the wild)Your water temp. is just fine.
