Multiples in single enclosure?

Omnivorous Nov 21, 2008 07:03 PM

Do crested Geckos do well if you house multiples in a single terrarium? Any tips or no-no's on multiples in single enclosure?

Crested geckos do ok as groups providing hte cage is suitable large enough to house them. Keeping more than one male in the enclosure though, not a good idea.

Keeping a male in with several females will of course mean breeding and egg laying so care must be taken to ensure the females are not over bred and have a calcium crash (keeping a shadow dish of calcium powder in the cage works great, as the females can eat calcium as they need it. Just make sure it doesn't get soiled. If it does wash out and add fresh calcium).
