wild redfoot tortoise in Brazil

Thought I would post a pic of a big redfoot we saw a couple of years ago in Brazil's Pantanal region. You can see some holes drilled into the marginal scutes. These marks were arranged in a pattern to specifically identify this individual tortoise within a larger study group of wild tortoises. My buddy is a ham and can't help himself in front of a camera.

Thanks for the photo. That's one large redfoot. And colorful also. Nice to see a wild one.
