How Big are the Pieces of Food should be

Paradon Dec 03, 2008 08:55 AM

I've seen many people cut up large pieces for their baby green iguanas and so forth. I thought they would have to pretty small for them to be able to digest it probably. My iguana is about 3 years old and this is what his typical meal looks like. They are cut up pretty small as you can see in the picture. I thought I cut it small for optimal digestion. What do you think?

You are thinking right. I actually cut my greens by hand into about 1 inch pieces. My other veggies go through the food processor and are small.
