Hello,
I have bought two lizards in Guangzhou, China. The are about 11cm in length and brownish green. Can someone help me identify what kind of lizard this is? The saleswoman said it was from northern China. How do I upload a photo into the forum? Help! Thanks,
Liz

2 many species. post a pic if you can. just go to the photo tab (next to the forum button at the top of the page). Follow the instructions to upload your pics and then when you post a message you will see your pics listed and can highlight the one you want to post.

see you got the pic thing down. i am not too familiar with china reptiles although many chinese herps are also found here in korea. i would start by looking at a chinese lacerta. i do not have any field guides for china so it is just a stab in the dark. If you rule that out and nobody else answers you then you might try to go to the ratsnake forum and then to the asian / european ratsnake sub forum. There are a couple of guys in there that i believe own field guides for chinese herps and may be able to better id it.

I can say that i see an orange peel and rice in the cage bottom. It is for sure an insectivore and needs to be fed crickets and mealworms. It looks a little thin in the hips now but should fatten up nicely if fed and mantained properly.
