Mangrove find

crazycorn Dec 24, 2008 08:42 PM

I was out fishing today on South Hutchinson Island, St. Lucie County, FL. and I happened upon this fellow strolling along the rocks. I guess he/she was out fishing as well. I'm fairly certain it is an Mangrove Salt Marsh Water Snake / Nerodia clarkii compressicauda. About 2ft long. Anyway a cool and unexpected find for today, topped off a decent fishing trip thats for sure.
